happy tuesday!

usually it's tellafriend tuesday...
this week i am going to do something slightly different.
generally, i send you to somebody's etsy shop...
this week, i am going to ask a favor of you.

i'm asking for donations of all shapes and sizes for
the ConnieCaps fundraiser, scheduled for may 16th.

not too far back i told you about my friend, linda...
and put up a video about ConnieCaps.

i'll quote from her site...

ConnieCaps was born out of my love for my late mother, and a desire to bring beauty and warmth to the lives of people who are fighting the difficult battle against cancer. Here at ConnieCaps, we provide cancer patients who are undergoing chemotherapy with beautiful, stylish, and hand-crafted hats free of charge. All of our hats are made from quality materials hand-knit by volunteer knitters. Please get in touch with us if you are currently in treatment for cancer, and would like a hat. We would love to make your day a little better with a hat that is as special as you are.
We are a 501(c)(3) corporation, which means your donations are tax deductible. If you'd like to donate, please go look at our donation page. We have multiple ways to donate, and only a small amount helps keep us running. If you would like to volunteer to knit, or have further questions about hats or donations, feel free to contact me!

i understand that sometimes people don't want to donate
to lesser known charities and the like...but i can personally
vouch for linda and the amazing things she does.

to my friends and family and blog followers...
this is an amazing charity born out of love and compassion
and also the love of knitting. please consider donating even a small
tax deductible amount to such a worthy cause.
it will definitely help out someone in need...
and it might just make you feel good too.

well...
munki and i were just talking about
winnie the pooh and the blustery day...


and munki recalled how pooh referred to
a windy wednesday as "windsday"...so that is today...
of course it's rainy too...which i don't mind.
i think rain makes us appreciate the sunny days.
anywho...

yesterday i had a wonderful phone call with the
oh so clever Hannah Hindi of The Hillywood Show!
i am going to start a line of Hillywood BuNnY MoNsTeRz
and share the profit with them.
(all the little details are still being worked out)
a couple of years back...
i stumbled across some youtube videos by Hilly & Hannah
...and have loved them ever since!
back in february i shared their twilight parody with you...
and you should also check out what they did with
the dark knight ...again, incredible!
they are not sponsored at all for the amazing stuff they create...
therefore Hannah and Hilly rely on their work salaries
and the occasional discount from people to do what they do.
and as it says on their website...
"two sisters, creating everything with just one camera!"
if you've never heard of them...hurry...go check them out!
these girls deserve to be famous and known worldwide.
and i truly believe they are well on their way...
they create, act, direct, film, edit, etc etc...
they do it all...seriously.
talent doesn't even begin to describe these girls.
and they have to be two of the sweetest (and most talented)
people i have ever dealt with.
