happy may monster monday!

things are getting settled, but i have not even started sewing yet.
i miss my sewing machine so very much...
as soon as the studio/office space is all set up, i will be back at it.

in the meantime, i have been busying my hands with some gardening
and adding some new plants to our new yard...
& i was missing my bleeding hearts from maine...

okay...

usually wednesday is wordless, but...

this is last little blog post before the internet is gone
and we pack the moving truck to move to lima. (ohio)

so...most everything is boxed...
i miss my toys and my sewing machine the most.
things are in complete disarray, the living room and kitchen
are both stacked with boxes and containers of all sorts.
kisu & ichabod (the cats) are climbing every mountain of boxes that they can...
olive & lucy (the pugs) are just acting confused, which very obviously tires them
out since they are sleeping more than usual. (usual = almost as much as the cats)
and yoshi (the bunny) seems indifferent about the whole thing.
so there you have it...
whatever it may be.

i am just excited to get into the new place and put our stuff in it.
thanks so much to all of you for your love & support and for hanging in there
while we make this move. you're the best!

happy monster monday...

so...yesterday found us driving a bit north of where we are now living
to check out the area where we might be living in the next couple of months.
(mr. munki's job may be moving us)
anywho...
along the way, phidget was pointing out shapes in the clouds.

this week will find me not on the computer as much as in the kitchen...
and phidget told me i should send some holiday wishes now,
just in case i get too occupied with other things.

so...

happy holidays...merry christmas...happy hanukkah...happy kwanzaa...
& happy new year as well...
that has me covered through january 1st...
but i doubt i'll stay away that long...

enjoy whatever festivities you indulge in this time of year...
and be kind, generous and giving even when you think you can't.

yesterday, as some of you know,
was my post op doctor appt.

xrays...check
c5-c6/7 disks gone...check
bone graft healing...check
titanium plate in place...check
screws holding my neck together...check
regaining range of motion...check
regaining feeling in arm and hand...check
progressing at a steady healing rate...check!

fun toys to play with in exam room...check



thankfully, the doctor said everything is healing nicely
and i can slowly start reintegrating things from
my usual routine. i still can't lift a lot or do a lot
of head turning...
and driving...well...
it's something i'm going to have to work on.
not my actual driving...
but my ability to turn and look whilst driving.

so, next week, i plan to start sewing again...(yay!)
but on a much more limited scale.
i have to build myself back up
to being able to sit at my sewing machine for hours.

i hope to have the BuNnY MoNsTeRz shop
open again in march...
i'll keep you updated...

quickie catch up...

okay...it's been 2 weeks...eek.

well...let's see...in no particular order...
because my brain can't do that right now...

*fizbin bunny passed away
*matt's nan passed away
*matt went to OH
*i had a minor surgery (while matt was gone)
*munki's allergies exploded (while matt was gone)
& just when we got the allergies under control, she got pink eye
*i've chaperoned 2 field trips with munki (& 15 other 1st graders)
& have another all day one coming up
*a co worker of matt's passed away
*we had to put olive on puppy prozac...seriously
*matt and i got new blackberry curves
*our home computer has been on the fritz
*we finally fixed our master bedroom (after almost 4 1/2 years)
*we have a new fuzzy bundle o' bunny to love...
(discovered very quickly that i can't be bunny free)



and now i am trying to get back on track.
the BuNnY MoNsTeRz are calling me...
(phidget usually screams though...)



pending any craziness...
the blog should be updated almost daily again...

one being my last breast cancer awareness BuNnY...
the woman that bought her is a 28 year survivor!
that made my morning.
1/2 of the purchase price goes straight to
susan g. komen for the cure...

absolutely small is the home of the chickenpants...
i fell in love with roger chickenpants

almost exactly one year ago (may 7th, 2008 according to etsy)
and got roger a lady friend (cecilia) not long after...

cecilia was in a chickenpants movie too...yes, she's a star!
wait...what? you didn't know there were chickenpants movies?

cecilia is in #5 "the fast and the chickenpants"
who knew that the chickenpants would also intro me to
such an awesome person as claire!
she's incredibly talented to boot!!!
you can follow her pretty much all the same places as me...
and another odd but cool fact...we both own 2 pugs and a bunny.
(i have olive, lucy & fizbin...she has topanga, buster & finnegan...
she has a tortoise as well, i just don't have mine yet) =)
claire is also the admin for the needle
(which i am proud to be affiliated with...)
