for those of you new to tellafriend tuesday...
on most tuesdays...i'm going to tell you about someone awesome
and you should tell your friends about them..

this week, i introduce to you...

thus far, i only own one newborn monster...
but he's so stinkin' cute.
if i wasn't on a financial fast trying to save money
for our move...i'd be making several more etsy purchases...

i lost a day...

well, not really.
i just forgot to post anything yesterday.

but today is tellafriend tuesday...

i've mentioned her several times before,
but i really think you should take the time
to visit the shop of someone i gladly call friend...

i bought my first jacabunny about 2 years ago,
& now look at my little collection...



go ahead...go get yourself one...
you can't have mine.

aside from those little creatures of awesome...
she also makes stellar things like this...

beyond all of that she is one of the nicest people
you could ever hope to meet.
her creations make me quite happy and swoony.
and because of her,
i have been inspired to try some needle felting of my own.
since i wasn't quite sure how to go about getting what i needed to begin...
i bought a kit from fancytiger on etsy.
the kit includes everything you need to try it out.
you get several colors of wool roving...
a foam safety cube...
a barbed felting needle and easy to follow instructions.
i found it quite simple.
i strayed a bit and tried out some small variations...
but for the most part stuck to the directions.
i didn't give this guy arms,
simply because i liked how he looked without them.


and he even has a cute fluffy tail...



do yourself a favor and go visit kit...
you won't regret it...

i always get excited about this...
mainly because i get to introduce you lovely readers
to artists/people/friends that i adore!

today i am featuring paula mcdonough
of the venerable bead

first of all...i must say that ALL of my interactions
with paula have been amazing! she really is another
kind and amazingly talented artist.
and her creations...wow!
if you want something that is one of a kind
and just beautiful...look no further.
i have purchased several things from paula...
for myself and as gifts for others.
i have purchased all key pendants...
but i like her implosion pendants as well...
and her key necklaces (with all sorts of goodies)
well, who am i kidding...i really like everything she makes.
she even makes keychains now!
and if you're a twilight fan...
check out her twilight themed jewelry, it's gorgeous too!
just take a stroll through her etsy shop.

how she creates the pieces she makes.

i personally own 3 key pendants by paula...
my favorite being this one...

it's my favorite because it's a mama key.
the difference in this one is that the bead slides all the way
up and down the key and it spins as well...
my other two just spin in the place they are set.
i love them too, don't get me wrong...but my fiddle fingers
are much more content with the mama key.
and every time i wear it out...someone comments on it.

i failed on the posting of a picture yesterday...oops...
so here's one for today...


i've been enjoying all my flowers and i have
enjoyed having dirt under my fingernails...



and i enjoyed the time away from the computer...
now i feel like it's a huge game of catch up.
thankfully, it doesn't seem as though i missed anything
too important.

and today it's claire's turn...
absolutely small is the home of the chickenpants...
i fell in love with roger chickenpants

almost exactly one year ago (may 7th, 2008 according to etsy)
and got roger a lady friend (cecilia) not long after...

cecilia was in a chickenpants movie too...yes, she's a star!
wait...what? you didn't know there were chickenpants movies?
well...check them out on youtube or blip.tv
cecilia is in #5 "the fast and the chickenpants"
who knew that the chickenpants would also intro me to
such an awesome person as claire!
she's incredibly talented to boot!!!
you can follow her pretty much all the same places as me...
and another odd but cool fact...we both own 2 pugs and a bunny.
(i have olive, lucy & fizbin...she has topanga, buster & finnegan...
she has a tortoise as well, i just don't have mine yet) =)
claire is also the admin for the needle
(which i am proud to be affiliated with...)
