My favorite part of Samhain is the celebration of mine and my husbands wedding nuptials. It is the celebration of the Celtic New Year and a wonderful time for all to think back of the year past and grow toward the year forward.

Just became a fan on FB, which I would have already done had I known about your page. Your creatures are awesome! Okay, favorite part of Fall/Halloween, that would be a lot of things. First and foremost, I'm a *huge fan of horror films, so as soon as October comes around I'm in my absolute glory. A whole month dedicated to fear! It's my happiest time of the year. Also, I'm a loosely practicing pagan and Samhain is probably the most fun Sabbat to practice. I am, probably a little more obsessed with zombies, and the Zombie Apocalypse than is healthy...so my wife and I are dressing as a zombie slayer dragging around her domesticated zombie slave ^_^

Halloween's my favorite holiday. My birthday is two weeks after it and I would always have my birthday party then so all my friends could stay over and go trick or treating. One year, my mom even got me a cake shaped like a real pumpkin!

ReplyDeleteHalloween is my favorite holiday because in addition to be a nerd of large proportions, my mother and I work as a costume design and creation team. We spend nearly the entire year designing and creating costumes for family, friends and clients and we have the great honor seeing people wear something that started as an abstract idea.
Anytime I see one of your rabbits all I can think about is: "That's the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on!...Look, that rabbit's got a vicious streak a mile wide! It's a killer!" from 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail.'
I have loved zombies since the first time I saw them in some old school grind-house movie and even when I am on the roller derby track I love to rock the zombie make-up and I think the rabbit would fit right in with the girls!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of Halloween is watching kids come to the door and say "Trick or Treat" Some are young and it might be their first time. Others are well seasoned and looking for a fast handful and moving on to the next house. Either way there is something innocent and youthful about the whole evening,until I wake up and see smashed pumpkins in the street and even then it is still a good time.

Favorite thing about trick or treat is that it is the one time of year I don't look like a total weardo for having decorated my house with skulls spiders bats and skeletons. The other 11 months of the year I am just looked at as a little off for my morbid decorative touches. LoL

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I love the colors, the crisp fall air, the decorations, and best of all, and excuse to play dress up in whatever crazy fashion I choose. My most favorite costume ever was Strawberry Shortcake when I was 5 or 6. My mom made my costume, and it looked just like the doll. I was in 7th heaven. . . .

ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of Halloween is scaring people. Everything else is there to make things scary. Working in a haunted house and scaring someone into a total freakout is one of the greatest feelings on earth. Watching my kids get all excited about dressing up and wanting to scare people is a close second.
